Graduates earn 5,631 degrees, certificates from Duke University


About 18 percent of the 5,631 degrees and certificates handed out by Duke University in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Durham conferred 517 master's degrees and 301 doctor's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in general business administration and management. Data shows the school gave out 781 master's degrees in general business administration and management, followed by 221 doctor's degrees in law and 200 bachelor's degrees in econometrics and quantitative economics.

The university enrolled 16,130 students for 2017-18, including 6,696 in undergraduate programs and 9,434 in graduate programs.
