Jacksonville, North Carolina had a population of 73,661 people in 2017, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the North Carolina Business Daily.

The median age was 23, with 38.1 percent of the total population being female and 61.9 percent male.

The state’s total population in 2017 was 10,052,564.
