47 percent of applicants to North Carolina State University at Raleigh were admitted for fall 2018


At North Carolina State University at Raleigh, 92 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Raleigh enrolled 35,479 students in fall 2018, including 25,199 in undergraduate and 10,280 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

85 percent of undergraduates are residents of North Carolina, and 11 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (67 percent) and Asian (7 percent).

The school admitted 47 percent of the 30,350 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 35 percent enrolled.
